Hurricane Matthew took a path almost directly through the Bahamas in October 2016.  The Bahamas was extremely lucky with no reported deaths – however the building and property damage was extensive mainly through Nassau, Andros, & Freeport, with other Family Islands being affected also.  Many people lost their homes and businesses, and buildings were damaged by the high winds in the Category 3, then 4, storm.

In the aftermath, TMC has been working through the Rotary Club of East Nassau and directly with our clients to ensure their homes and businesses are secured.   Our staff and sister companies are OK, suffering mainly roof damage and lack of utilities.  A week after the storm and our offices are operating on generator power.  We wish everyone a speedy and safe recovery.

The government has implemented certain allowances for duty-free and VAT-free materials for the recovery efforts – TMC is able to utilize these approved circumstances to repair and renovate hurricane damaged steel buildings, metal roofing, warehouses, hangars, and more.  Please contact us for more information.

All the best in these difficult times,

Lee McCoy
President
